Betfred launch a new live betting application

0

UK retail and online bookmaker Betfred have launched a new live betting application that allows punter to feast on real time stats during live football games. Fred even pops up with relevant markets during the action. The software was developed by live betting software specialist Boolabus using their Betstream framework.

The video below gives a sense of the data available and the user experience. Full team listings and formations are generated before the game. One of the nicest features is the goal alerts. If you are watching one game and goals or red cards from other games are flashed up on screen.

Live betting: BWIN launch major upgrade to live betting interface

I was using the Bwin site last night during the superbowl and I’m still not sure about it. It’s intense or so they say. It’s very good but will it get more players to bet? Need to play some more. I like the background – a tribute to Sportingbet?!

This is what they said:

On Friday, Bwin Interactive Entertainment A.G. will introduce its new betting interface, the company announced on Wednesday.

Scheduled to coincide with the start of the second half of the German Bundesliga, the live interface launch promises to be “more intense” than before.

“We specifically harnessed the power of the Web 2.0 generation in order to offer our customers a live betting experience they have never seen before”, said Manfred Bodner, the company’s co-chief executive, in a prepared statement.

“With its new offering, Bwin is demonstrating its lead, pushing the limits of what is technologically feasible,” Mr. Bodner added.

New features will include the ability to arrange the interface to coincide with highlighted events as well as easy access to relevant game stats.

Paddy Power add personalisation to new live betting pages

I spotted this announcement on paddy power’s blog about a new live betting design – the screen shot is a bit unclear but it looks fairly traditional. The ability to select your markets for display is good but doesn’t go as far as Sportingbet’s favourites functionality (designed and built by my own company). But it is a nice touch. I would have thought a clearer schedule of current live games would provide a bit of uplift as punters get exposed to more events but that might be in there somewhere. Let’s see…
