Latest live betting news from the World Cup – Totesport
Jul 4th
There’s been a lot going on with new live betting and in-play websites from Victor Chandler, Totesport, Coral and more. I’ll keep adding what I can over the next few weeks.
Totesport
There’s been a lot of change at Totesport and as part of a full website redesign they have enhanced the bet in play features with live scores, commentary, stats and more. Take a look for yourself or there is a video on Youtube:
Betfair launch iPhone live betting application
May 12th
I’ve been using Betfair’s mobile betting site (mobile.betfair.com) for some time and it’s pretty good. They’ve gone one better and convinced Steve Jobs to allow betting applications into the app store:
The Betfair Mobile Team is delighted to announce the official launch of the Betfair iPhone app. We have launched our very first native iPhone application as a free download for iPhone users. You can find it now by clicking on this link itms://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/betfair-client/id347621336?mt=8 so feel free to check it out today.
Betfair.com has a great offering for live betting with a wide range of events and even in-Running betting on horses which is an experience to try at least once!
Partygaming and BWIN to announce merger?
May 7th
I heard a very strong rumour that the boards of Partygaming and BWIN had met at the start of May to approve the merger deal. There have been a few mentions in the press in the past. What does it mean for customers? Well, Partybets has it’s fans but it’s true to say that BWIN’s live betting experience is second only to Bet365 but it is a much more sophisticated offering.
I guess if you play Poker with Party and bet with BWIN you’ll be happy. The real question, and one for the ego’s of the boards to deal with – what do they call the merged company? I can’t see the BWIN guys letting go of the brand after developing it so well and exposing it to football fans all over the world.
We’ll see how the story develops.
William Hill to buy Centrebet
Mar 5th
I read a story this week that William Hill are looking to break into the Australian betting market with the takeover of Centrebet. It makes some sense and they both share the same technology platform. It reminded me to get on with the reviews of the top ten so I think I’ll do William Hill
next.
Skybet launch new website
Feb 13th
Skybet have launched their new website as a beta preview. The new website is available to all users through a link on the top right of the skybet.com home page. Of course we’re interested in the live betting experience but it’s worth a look at the overall site. It’s very easy to use with a great navigation system on the left and an unusual betslip that sits on the bottom of the page.
The site is fast, clean and simple. It’s one of the easiest sportbetting websites to use and because it is Sky there is a lot of available media, live streams, audio and stats. The main criticism is that some of this content could have been integrated better into the website but this is a minor point.
We’ll do a full review in time, I’ve included a few more screenshots here to give you an idea of what it’s like. You can always Check it out for yourself. Look for the beta site link on the top-right of the homepage.
